Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site operators.

2. How We Use Cookies

MEDUMIX uses only strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the platform to function. We do not use any advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe (Payment Processing): When you make a payment, you are redirected to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

LiveKit (Video Consultations): Our video consultation system connects to LiveKit servers. LiveKit does not set cookies in your browser — it uses WebSocket connections for real-time communication.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or tracking technologies.

5. Managing Cookies

Since we only use essential cookies, disabling them would prevent the platform from functioning (you would not be able to log in or make payments). However, you can manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

6. Legal Basis

Our use of essential cookies is based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) Art. 5(3) exemption for cookies that are strictly necessary for the service requested by the user. The ePrivacy Directive is transposed into national law by:

  • Romania: Legea nr. 506/2004 privind prelucrarea datelor cu caracter personal și protecția vieții private în sectorul comunicațiilor electronice, art. 41.
  • Germany: Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz (TDDDG) §25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2, in force since May 2024 (replacing TTDSG).
  • Austria: Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021 §165 Abs. 3.

Since we do not use any non-essential cookies, no prior consent is legally required. The cookie banner on our site is provided for transparency purposes.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent before setting those cookies.
